The Greenbrier with Kids: 10 Things to Do

Sharing 10 things to do at The Greenbrier with kids today! This absolutely beautiful + historic hotel in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia should most definitely be on your bucket list if you haven’t visited already.

The Greenbrier with Kids

The Greenbrier has hosted 28 U.S. presidents, housed an underground bunker for Congress for 30 years, and was once a WWII hospital. One of my all-time favorite interior designers, Dorothy Draper, decorated the interior after the World War and her designs still bring so much joy to The Greenbrier today.

Nic & I stopped here in 2012 before we got married and we were excited to bring the girls along for a night this trip. My parents were married here so this place will always be very special to me. 🙂

We could’ve stayed longer and only were able to complete some of this list but when we go back, here are 10 things to do with kids at The Greenbrier:

  • 1.) Swim at the Outdoor Infinity Pool. It’s absolutely stunning and SO family-friendly!
  • 2.) Swim at the Indoor Pool. The architecture and space is like stepping back in time.
  • 3.) Eat at Draper’s. The pink, purple, and floral decor is so girly & pretty! Great kids’ menu, too!
  • 4.) Go to the fairy garden house. We stumbled upon this gem & it was a highlight of our trip.
  • 5.) Take a carriage ride or go horseback riding. On our list for next time!
  • 6.) Explore the grounds and shop at Teddy Bear Mountain. You can get lost touring the property!
  • 7.) Go bowling and to the arcade. Next time for us! We ran out of time.
  • 8.) Try fishing, hiking, or kayaking. Again, next time. Nic would love these activities!
  • 9.) Play tennis, pickleball, or golf. Their courts & course are amazing.
  • 10.) Take a bunker tour or try the escape room. I want to do the bunker tour next time.
