Lewisburg Surf Shop: Despite the name, this is a luxury boutique focused on fashion-forward women’s clothing. The owners moved from the New York fashion industry to curate a mix of designer pieces, leather jackets, and international gifts with a unique, artistic vibe.
Antique & Boutique Hopping: Spend your afternoon poking through the unique shops on Washington Street:
- Robert’s Antiques: A massive 10,000-square-foot space featuring period furniture, glassware, and oriental rugs. It also houses one of the largest wine shops in the state and a fascinating Medical Museum.
- The Golden Rabbit: A highly curated boutique focusing on fine art, estate jewelry, and high-end antiquities. It’s the place to go for items with a sophisticated, timeless aesthetic.

It’s also the local go-to for an extensive selection of Jellycat plush toys, which are as soft as they are photogenic.

Lost World Caverns: Just a short drive from downtown, you can descend 120 feet underground. It sounds adventurous, but the formations (like the “Snowy Chandelier”) are incredibly ethereal and aesthetic. It’s a stunning natural contrast to the historic town above.

Stroll the Lewisburg Historic District: Start by simply walking Washington Street. The downtown is one of the most walkable and photogenic in the country, filled with 18th- and 19th-century red-brick buildings, overflowing flower boxes, and curated window displays.
Afternoon Tea or Cocktails at The General Lewis Inn: Whether you stay here or not, visiting this 1834 inn is non-negotiable. Its cozy parlor and garden are filled with local history and antiques. * Oh and if you’re visiting in the spring, try to catch the Lewisburg Chocolate Festival. The town transforms into a literal candy land, and the energy is absolutely magical.
