Today’s post is all about Ava’s Pink Palm Puff birthday party!!! We had the best time celebrating our 9 year old with a Pink Palm Puff party – she is obsessed with her new hoodie + the vibe that is Pink Palm Puff – beach-y, surf-y, and chill.
What is Pink Palm Puff? I didn’t know either until a month or two ago but it’s a really fun brand that was launched in 2023 by a 16-year-old, Lily Balaisis. Pink Palm Puff quickly established itself in the luxury apparel market and the company’s focus on high-quality, oversized hoodies led to thousands of units sold of its flagship product, the ‘Everything Comes in Waves’ hoodie (source).
Admittedly, she didn’t decide on this party them until about 2 weeks before! The struggle was real this year – so many choices and decisions – and she wanted to choose on her own. Thankfully, I already had A LOT of the party supplies since the color scheme involved a lot of pastels, pink, and neutrals so it was honestly pretty simple to whip this party up!
We had so much fun celebrating our girl – I still can’t believe she’s 9! I’ve organized this post into different sections for you: Party Decor, Food/Drinks, and Activities/Favors. Read on for all of the details!
Ava’s Pink Palm Puff Birthday Party Decor:
For decor and to help guide the color scheme, I started with hanging one of my very favorite garland banners, that I’ve used at multiple parties now (like this one and this one), via two 3M velcro strips/hooks. These hooks are party magic!
I loveee setting up the kids’ tables for parties & this one was no exception! For the table, I started with this craft paper as a table runner bc I thought it looked like sand. Next, I added placemats from Home Goods and layered check plates with scalloped pink plates from Meri Meri (both linked, below). I added these shell plates from Amazon that are so pretty! Three plates may seem like a lot but I can assure you that the girls used all of three ~ for snacks, food, and cake! Lastly I added candlesticks, cups, straws, and confetti.
The morning of the party, I used my handy dandy balloon pump to blow up a lot of balloons for the girls to play with.

Before the party, Ava made a menu! We didn’t use all of these ideas but gosh, I just love the way she drew it all out. We didn’t have enough time to order from our cookie fave, Royally Iced, but that is what she’s referencing here!
Party Food + Drinks
Per usual, I kept the food + drinks very simple for this birthday party. We ordered pizza and I let Ava pick out her favorite snacks. She chose salt & vinegar chips, veggie straws, and oreo cookies and I added some popcorn & berries to the table.
Ava specifically asked for an ice cream cake this year from Dairy Queen as she usually does! I’d like to get a more aesthetic cake, but it’s all about what she wants this day so I go with it! On her actual bday, I picked up a 6 inch ice cream cake from Dairy Queen & I was obsessed with how cute it was!!! I just had them add a “9” when I went through the drive-through and then brought it home to add my own edible glitter and a faux pink flower for a lil’ flair.
For the drinks, we made our go-to rainbow punch that my grandma always used to make at family gatherings. The recipe couldn’t be simpler (sprite zero + rainbow sherbet) but it is consistently a hit! They absolutely LOVED this punch and drank the entire bowl, haha! I highly recommend and it’s so easy. We served it in festive plastic cups with paper straws.

Pink Palm Puff Party Activities/Favors/Gifts
The girls are at a great age where they enjoy all of the party stuff but can also entertain themselves in between food, cake, gifts, etc. They played a game that Ava made up herself, “How well do you know Ava?”, where she came up with a few questions to ask them to answer/write… things like her favorite color, song, etc. It was cute.
For party favors, we gave everyone these Hawaiian claw clips, which were a hit. For Ava’s gifts from us, we gave her these note labels for her piano, this makeup mirror, this lip smacker set (so many fun scents), and some gum & treats. At school on her birthday, she wore these face glitter speckles, which she LOVED.
