Hello, friends! Sharing where to Instagram on Anna Maria Island, Florida today!
My lil’ family and I have visited there a few times now and we’re starting to feel like we really know our way around this little slice of paradise. Since I know you all like to take pictures on vacation, I thought I’d give you some ideas of where to get the shot for Insta on Anna Maria! 🙂 If you have more ideas, please leave them in the comments, below. Enjoy!
1.) VINTAGE HOTELS – Although the island has experienced quite a bit of new construction in recent years, AMI is known for their cool 50s/60s/70s vibe, complete with a plethora of beautiful vintage hotels and inns. Some of my favorites? Haley’s Motel, Tropic Isle Inn, and Anna Maria Beach Cottages, to name just a few.
2.) BRADENTON BEACH’S BRIDGE STREET – There are a ton of photo opps off of Bridge Street in Bradenton Beach. Walk to the end of the pier for the clock/water/boats shot or snap a colorful photo in front of Joe’s Eats & Sweets. The Blue Marlin’s cozy cottage is definitely worth Instagramming – be sure to check out their outdoor patio/bar area, too. To catch a sunset and/or have a drink, visit The Beach House, located on the sand.
3.) TWO SCOOPS – This delicious ice cream shop off of Pine Ave. in Anna Maria speaks for itself – this is where you can get the quintessential beach ice cream shot!
4.) ROD & REEL PIER – If you get ONE shot for Instagram while in Anna Maria, let this be the one. At the end of the boardwalk is a cozy restaurant but this sign (below) is SO COOL.
5.) RIDE BIKES OR A GOLF CART AROUND THE ISLAND – There are a few places to rent these! My advice is to actually go to the rental places so you can pick out your perfectly Instagrammable bike and/or golf cart. 🙂
6.) THE NORTH SHORE CAFE – Located off of Pine Avenue in AMI, don’t miss this Greetings from Anna Maria Island sign at the North Shore Cafe. Bonus: Grab a smoothie and/or coffee for the shot there, too. They also have a gorgeous back patio area on the water with tables and bistro chairs. Lots of opps, here!
7.) THE DONUT EXPERIMENT – When we’re talking about where to Instagram on Anna Maria Island… this is another can’t miss opportunity! I typically ask them to just make the most colorful donuts they have. Get there EARLY if you don’t want to wait. The line can be verrrry long! But these warm, freshly made donuts are worth it.
8.) COLORFUL HOMES – Anna Maria has so many cotton candy colored homes… you won’t have to look for long! Both new beautiful new builds and cool older ones with all the vintage vibes 🙂
9.) SHINY FISH EMPORIUM – This store on Pine Avenue is every little girl’s dream! They can even paint their own sand dollar ornament at the table, pictured below, finished with a glitter spray! 🙂 The rest of the store is just as colorful and beautiful. It’s the happiest spot on AMI!
10.) THE BEACH – I can’t finish this list without mentioning Anna Maria’s absolutely stunning beaches! Turquoise waters coupled with white sand make for the perfect Instagram photo opp! The best color tends to occur midday. For the golden glow, visit during sunset… where the pastel colors in the sky will steal the show.
There you have it! What spots did I miss?
