So, as I was working on my Charleston, South Carolina Travel blog post (which is still in the works — I took a bajillion pictures), I decided that Lost Dog Cafe deserves its own, separate post. It’s thaaat good. Since 2002, this place has been serving locals and vacationers alike on Folly Beach. As long as I continue to vacation on Folly (which if my wallet allows, will be at least yearly), I will be having breakfast at Lost Dog. This place is the epitome of vacation for me, with its laid-back beach cafe vibe intertwined with delicious breakfast food served all day. It just doesn’t get any better. Life simply slows down when you sit outside on their patio sipping a coffee or a mimosa (extra points–it’s in a mason jar).
If you go, buy a t-shirt or mug. Sit outside on the patio. Don’t forget to bring your dog.
Folly’s Original Breakfast Burrito…
Pancakes with real maple syrup and seasonal fruit…
My husband and I went to Folly during the Fourth of July week and Lost Dog offered a specialty menu on the holiday…
Seriously tough decisions but we decided on the Veggie Quiche with cheese grits and fresh fruit…
and the Breakfast Burrito!

I cannot branch away from Lost Dog, but Rita’s always looks super busy and delicious. I will have to try it out (hopefully next summer). Thanks for the suggestion 🙂
