During a recent trip to Hocking Hills, we stayed in a stunningly beautiful a-frame cabin!
Hocking Hills Vacation
We stayed at Dunlap Hollow’s A-Frame cabin in the heart of Hocking Hills over Spring Break. Words cannot express and photos barely do this stunning property justice! This isn’t just any ol’ cabin though – the space is so unique, modern, and spacious. It can sleep up to 10 – and even includes a sunken king bed on the top floor.
The weather was quite chilly + dreary when we were there yet tons of natural light filled the cabin. One of my favorite parts of our stay was using the suspended wood-burning stove. Not only did it smell heavenly it was also a fantastic spot to roast s’mores.
Of course, with spring in Ohio, you cannot predict the weather, but we were pleasantly surprised to be greeted with an overnight snow here. It was quite magical really to wake up with a snow covered hill and a-frame.
We only left the cabin once during our weekend stay to go into Logan. We visited the Hocking Hills Winery, which I highly recommend visiting during the warmer months to take full advantage of their patio.
We also ventured into the town of Logan to have some pizza at Pizza Crossing, a very low key but delicious spot… it’s where the locals go.
Other than that, we cozied in for our stay, taking full advantage of our access to their private hiking trails as well as the picturesque hot tub which was nestled in between the cabin and the hillside.
I would love to stay here again in the summer or fall to enjoy their outdoor fire table and fire pit!
