Sharing our whimsical Christmas mantel with you today! I knew I wanted a lot of punchy colors for this season with a fun, playful vibe.
I started with two of these faux cedar garlands, securing them with removable 3M hooks (these are the exact ones I used) on the top side of our mantel.
Next, I layered in the sparkly star garland from Michael’s and twinkle lights that are on a 6-hours-on timer.
Then, for some height, I used the striped and twisty candle sticks from H&M and tied on some satin ribbons to the candlesticks for a feminine touch.
You guys remember this DIY gingerbread wreath? That went up on my beloved Anthropologie mirror for a touch of playfulness.
The mantel still looked like it was missing something and I hadn’t yet found the perfect place for my gorgeous Maddox & Klaus handmade garlands, so I added the Jolly one and the presents one from there and tucked the sides under and into the green garland.
The woven star garland is from Amber Interiors and adds some more warmth to the mantel. I also attached the golden bells from Studio McGee for a golden touch.
The last thing I worked on, and the part I was most excited about, were the Christmas stockings! These were a fantastic TJ Maxx find from years ago. They already have an Anthro vibe but I really wanted them to have even more texture and color so I fancied them up with pom poms from The Buttercream Shop and Lauren Glass Designs.
The stockings are poms are all attached with 3M hooks, too! I’ve tried to link everything I used, plus more, at the end of this post!
What do you guys think of our whimsical Christmas mantel? Do you decorate your mantel for Christmas?
