Have you seen the PENZONE Salon & Spa that recently opened in the Short North?! It’s absolutely BEAUTIFUL!
While I tend to frequent the PENZONE in Gahanna/New Albany because my lovely hair stylist, Miley, works there, I recently had the opportunity to visit the Short North salon for a facial with Catalina. Y’all. Isn’t her name beautiful, first of all? She’s amazing & I’ve been recommending her to all of my friends & family for their spa needs. Go see her!
In addition to sharing photos of the new PENZONE space with you, I also went to my girl, Miley (aka my 9 years & running hair stylist at PENZONE) to give me her absolute, tried-and-true, hair products she recommends & uses all the time! All of them can be found at a PENZONE salon, too. Here we go:
1/2 – Alterna Caviar Moisture Shampoo & Conditioner – Miley shares, this duo is, “Great for all hair types, and color treated hair. It has caviar extract to keep your hair looking young and healthy. Plus, it’s moisturizing with out feeling weighed down.”
3 – Alterna Caviar Working Hairspray – “This flexible hold hair spray is perfect for everyday! Great for taming fly always on sleek straight hair or for finishing off beachy waves. It’s brush-able so perfect for multiple days of styling.”
4 – Moroccan Oil Dry Shampoo (comes in both light tones & dark tones) – This is Miley’s favorite dry shampoo! There are two different formulas one for dark hair and one for light hair. Per Miley, “The dark one never leaves your hair looking white or ashy like other dry shampoos do.”
5 – Alterna Bamboo Brilliance Cream – Miles boasts that this cream “makes hair shiny and smooth while fighting humidity all day.” You can use it on both wet and dry hair!
6 – Lanza Root Effects– This “creates fullness and volume at the root. It comes out of the bottle in moose form so it’s easy to work in.”
7 – Schwarzkopf Silver Shampoo– (purple shampoo for blondes) This shampoo tones out warm tones leaving the blonde cool, bright and shiny. Perfect for blondes and even balayage!
8 – Caviar Perfect Texture Spray – Miley shared this spray “creates instant texture and fullness through out the hair. It’s great for finishing a beachy loose curl or a messy textured style.”
9 – Davines Renaissance Circle – This deep conditioning mask restores damaged hair from sun, heat, chlorine, frequent chemical services. Great for detangling kids!
10 – Davines Milk– This detangles and protects from frizz. Smells amazing!
