Our First Family of 4 Photos - amanda party + home

I can’t believe that as I’m writing this, Ellie Anne is almost 2 weeks old! What a quick and dear two weeks it’s been.

The precious newborn phase is fleeting, which is why Nic and I were absolutely thrilled to work with Sophia and Alex of Cheek to Cheek Studio to capture our first family of 4 photos. (Side note: Sophia and I met nearly 4 years ago when we both starting blogging in Columbus – she is the absolute sweetest person with the most infectious smile and now having also met Alex, he is very witty and very easy to talk to! They’re definitely a great team when it comes to newborn photography & I’m not just saying that)!
I love how Cheek to Cheek brings the studio to your home because every little bit helps when you’re trying to get your sleep-deprived self presentable in addition to convincing a bold toddler to keep her outfit on and her bow in, all while also making sure your newborn is well fed. 🙂

I’m currently in the midst of ordering prints of these photos, particularly of the Ava/Ellie shots because I’m so happy with the way Sophia & Alex candidly captured Ava’s genuine love and enthusiasm for her sister!

Anyone that knows Ava knows that she is a busy girl, constantly “working” and chatting. During our shoot with Cheek to Cheek, Ava was very engaged and focused on Ellie, with the patient direction of Sophia and Alex, which she quickly deemed “my friends.”

And darling Ellie is just an absolute doll who has joined our family so naturally… we already can’t picture our home without her. While I know we have a lot of getting to know each other time ahead of us, so far, she has been a pretty laid-back, sweet baby who already likes her nighttime sleep (we’ve had a few 5 and 6-hour stretches so far)!

As I mentioned before, Big sis Ava is absolutely in love with her sister which has been heartwarming to witness. She checks on her throughout the day, gives her tons of hugs and kisses, and has even helped me (voluntarily) change a dirty diaper or two. 🙂 I especially love the very last photo on this post of Ellie – she is such a little nugget!
