AUGUST: I started a new job. A job that I’m currently LOVING. I’ve asked myself multiple times why I waited so long to make the switch from a Speech-Language Pathologist working with adults in a skilled nursing facility to working with children in a public school. I guess we get stuck with what we’re comfortable with sometimes, right? The change has been such a fresh breath of air! A lot of readers are surprised to find out I hold a full-time job in addition to running this blog. What I’ve found is that most bloggers hold other jobs and I didn’t go to college for 6 years for nothing 🙂 Which brings me to my next point… I love you, my readers, but I’m sure some of you have noticed I’ve been a little lax on posting and replying to emails lately. I would blog all day, every day if I could… but I’ve got a little more on my plate these days with preparing, learning, and putting in more time in my new position and Ava is just, well, the funnest thing ever right now and I don’t want to.miss.a.thing. Where am I going with this? I don’t really know. I just want you to know I will create for this space as time allows but if I’m not here, you know what I’m doing! I hope you have had a great summer! And now for my month’s re-cap through photos…
^ Had a blast celebrating my future sis-in-law for her Bachelorette Party at Indian Lake – it’s so beautiful and just a short drive from Columbus! How had I never been here before? And p.s. I’m slightly in love with my new LL Bean tote bag – perfect for everything plus what sold me is that they’re known for their straps not breaking no matter what you have in the bag. It’s sturdy!^ Spent the day in Schiller Park in German Village – Nic and I grabbed sandwiches from one of our GV favorites, Brown Bag Deli, and headed over to the park with Ava for an old-fashioned picnic and swinging session with the babe. Old Navy jeans (so soft & under $40) // Target flats // LL Bean tote // Las Bayadas Blanket^ The interior of the Short North’s Brassica is just to die for … as is their yummy food!^ Family pics with Little Roo Studios at Everal Barn & Homestead – a gorgeous venue for weddings/receptions/pictures/etc.! I can’t believe I’d never been here before.^ Downtown Grove City is up and coming y’all and you heard it from me first!!! I checked out Old World New Home‘s new location this month and it’s just too cute.^ I can’t sing the praises of Rachel of Little Roo Studios enough! She did the absolute BEST job with Ava’s 6 month pictures!!! I highly recommend her!^ A lot of you asked where I got this notebook after I posted this pic to Instagram – it’s none other than a lovely TJ Maxx find!^ At a beautiful wedding/reception in Lancaster at Little Brook Meadows!^ Family day on campus… had to show Ava Mirror Lake!^ Thank you to my sweet friend Katie for the cutest onesie for Ava, ever!^ Twinning with my girl in our Tru Man Brand shirts.^ One of the best apps in Columbus: The Marcella’s meatball.
