Well, today is our sweet baby’s original due date! However, to be honest – I had a feeling our little girl wasn’t going to wait until today for her big debut. I am so happy to say Ava Mae was born on Friday, January 15, 2016 at 5:29PM at Grant Medical Center! She was a healthy little arrival weighing in at 8 lbs. 1 oz. and measuring 20 inches.
I have nothing but amazing things to say about the nursing care I received at Grant! Our stay was made as comfortable as possible. My doctor and labor and delivery nurses were the best team I could’ve asked for and when I think back, the entire day was a surreal experience. Absolutely life changing. It boggles my mind that this little human has been living inside of me for the past 10 months. We are so in love and are trying to soak up every bit of the snuggles and newborn stage because we’ve been told many times – it goes fast!

People have asked – am I still going to blog? Well, of course! I don’t want this to become a “mommy blog,” but I am a mommy now, so, naturally I can’t help but share things I am excited about. I also don’t want to share a million pictures of Ava, but every now and then, it may be appropriate. I am working on a post that will talk about the baby products we have used every day for the past 10 days but until then, I’m enjoying my new role and will circle back around with you all as soon as I can.
