This past Saturday, my lil’ family and I ventured East on 665 to take a lil’ day trip to Granville, the quaintest, cutest Ohio town! We wanted to visit primarily to check out their weekly Saturday morning Farmer’s Market + we also wanted our pups to be able to run around off leash for a bit on Denison’s campus. I took a few pictures while exploring + had to share!
I adore the influence New England has had on Granville – its founders were originally from Massachusetts and Connecticut – and it’s very apparent in its architecture, layout, and aura. Everyone was stopping to talk with us like they’d known us for years. So welcoming! I can’t wait to go back!
I love Granville’s Tourism Website – they tons of great ideas about things to do while in the area. Personally, here are some of my favorites:
Eat/Drink: Granville Farmer’s Market, Goumas, Brew’s Cafe, Village Coffee Shop, Alfie’s Wholesome Food, Whit’s Frozen Custard, Day Y Noche
Shop: The Going Green Store, Real Deals on Home Decor, Green Velvet
See: Denison University, Bryn Du Mansion, Buxton Inn, Three Oaks Vineyard
Stay: Granville Inn, Buxton Inn, Orchard House
I think you’ll enjoy your day trip (or weekend trip!) to Granville as much as we did!

I grew up around Granville, and it was for sure my favorite place to hang out and go for a walk or run. It is for sure a hidden gem!

You should stop back September 11 or 12th for the Granville Barn Hop! It’s a great way to check our 3 unique vintage barns all within 15 minutes of each other.

GHS ’82 and folks still live uptown; I can assure you, nothing has changed since leaving OH decades ago.
