Love and Honor

Spending four years in Oxford, Ohio and attending + graduating from Miami University is a period of my life that I will always look back on and smile. I met some of my very best friends and started dating my husband (he went to OU) during those years. This past weekend, I had the opportunity to go back to Oxford for Dana’s Bachelorette Party, along with 15 other ladies.

We stayed at The Elms Hotel and then headed uptown to pretend like we’re in college again. Classic establishments like Skipper’s, Brick Street, and CJ’s were at the top of our list as they were our favorites when we were in school. RIP Stadium and Church Street.

We also had to visit the hugely popular The Woods/New Bar, which is definitely a hit spot with a cool patio.

We popped on over to Blue Lagoon where a ton of the ladies lived (I was an honorary resident) and the girls were so nice to let us in to check the place out for a trip down memory lane.

Dinner was obviously delicious at Fiesta Charra. The prices were insanely good!

We finished the weekend celebrating Colleen’s birthday over brunch (and a lot of coffee and water) at Patterson’s Cafe – aka the new version of Uptown Cafe.

I couldn’t leave town without visiting the Seal (I still couldn’t step on it), Upham Arch, and Western Campus. I didn’t have the energy to check out the new Student Center which I’m already regretting but it gives me a good excuse to go back to Oxford soon!
