RENICK’S PUMPKIN PATCH
14080 US Route 23
Ashville, OH 43103
Yay! I can officially cross off #1 on my October “To-Do List”! Although it wasn’t Circle S, like we had originally planned, my husband and I made the journey to go pumpkin pickin’ via U.S. Route 23 South to the infamous Renick’s Family Market (you know, the barn with the yellow roof). Pie pumpkins + gourds + corn + a huge field of pumpkins = Yep, feels exactly like Fall.
We paid $27.00 for the U-Pick deal and tried our luck with how many pumpkins “one person can carry” from the field (you can also buy already-picked pumpkins at the barn, for a specific amount, which is around $15.00 for a large). Note: The best pumpkins are in the very back of the field (not as picked over, obviously). My husband got his weight training in for the day and we made out with one medium-sized and two VERY large pumpkins , which now sit happily outside our door. Success.
