DISHCRAWL COLUMBUS
Columbus, Ohio
Since I had such a GREAT time at my first Dishcrawl in Gahanna, I thought I’d try another go – around! This time, destination: Clintonville! Clintonville is an part of Columbus that is TBE (to be explored) per me, so I was excited to try some new places in this gac-uncharted area.
The meeting place for the Dishcrawl group was on the back patio of Patrick J’s. Very cute, welcoming area. The food was good (loved the ciabatta bread), but what stood out to me about this restaurant was the outdoor space because I sure do love me a great patio in the summer:
Just north on High Street, our next stop was Aladdin’s Eatery. Now, I have heard many a great thing about Aladdin’s but was skeptical. Mainly because I term myself a picky eater. Or at least, I was, because I found this restaurant to be delicious. Hello, hummus and Mediterranean pizza! I see what the rave is all about and when I’m craving light, natural flavors, I will be back. Pretty tasty:
Just next door, we stepped over to Giorgio. A delicious, family-owned, fine dining establishment with a fabulous Ripasso wine pairing for our bites. I loved the gnocchi with vodka sauce. Great for a date night or special occasion:
My admittedly favorite stop of the night was Lavash Cafe. The Mediterranean pastries (made with honey and no sugar) were so delish. After the crawl officially ended, I hung around for a bit to check out the cafe. I learned that they grow their own grapes on the outdoor patio! And, I will add, I snacked on their hummus the following week everyday for lunch… and it is the best I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to go back:
Dishcrawl, once again, was a success and something I will encourage anyone to try. Whether you want to explore Columbus, find a new favorite restaurant, or meet new people, sign up. It’s Columbus, food, and fun.
The next Dishcrawl is a Surf n’ Turf on Wednesday, September 7th at Crosswoods. You can purchase tickets here. Use code gac15cw for a discount.

Ah I’m so glad aladdins was part of the crawl! It’s my favorite restaurant (they were in cleveland too) and I miss it so much! NYC has nothing like it!
