OCTOBER: As it does ever year, October flew by, filled with trips to the pumpkin patch, decorating with mums, having a ball at the Circleville Pumpkin Show, picking apples, breaking out my sweaters + boots… and Nic and I even squeezed in a mini staycation in Columbus, which was nice for a parents’ night out! I hope you had a fantastic month! I’m working on holiday content right n
In honor of today being National Take a Hike Day, I thought I’d share one of Nic and I’s favorite hikes we took this Fall! If you’ve never been to Rising Park in Lancaster, Ohio, it’s worth the short drive from Central Ohio on 33 East. The park has a pond, picnic tables, playgrounds, shelter houses, tennis courts, etc.
I’m sad to see October go. I truly am. It’s always such a colorful and exciting month – a time to really enjoy the outdoors because let’s face it, Winter is not always Ohio’s strong suit. I honestly can say that our October is one of the main reasons of why I missed home while living in South Carolina for grad school.
As some of you may remember, on the first day of October, I published my Top 10: October to-do list. My list kept me focused: On enjoying the small, delightful, and seasonal parts of life. It’s true that you only have some opportunities once a year and I believe everyone could benefit from a fun to-do list.
I can’t believe it… the last weekend in October! Where did the time go? I hope you have a wonderful, Halloween-tastic weekend. If you’re looking for something really, really fun to do:
1.) Celebrate Halloween Columbus-style at the 6th Annual HighBall, Friday, October 25 and Saturday, October 26 (http://highballhalloween.com/about/overview).
