I’m still amazed at the number of Ohioans that have never visited Hocking Hills and there’s no better time of year to visit than now! Spending a Fall weekend in the Hills is a budget-friendly vacation without having to leave the state! Hiking is one of the area’s main attractions and the following are my favorite places in Hocking Hills to take in the great outdoors.
This past weekend, the husband and I ventured to Dublin to run a few errands (and I have to mention – an amazing lunch at 101 Beer Kitchen was had – definitely check out this spot if you haven’t before!) and we had time for quick stop at Hayden Run Falls Park.
The park is a hidden lil’ gem, just west of the Scioto River off of Hayden Run Road.
OLD MAN’S CAVE
18905 State Route 664 South
This past weekend, my hubby and I ventured south to a southern Ohio favorite, Old Man’s Cave. Old Man’s Cave is part of the Hocking Hills State Park, which is a little over an hour southeast from Columbus. We were hoping to see some fall foliage, but with the 85 degree weather we had last week, we saw only a glimpse.
