Sometimes, there’s nothing better than adding a little variety to your daily routine by becoming a tourist in your own city! When I want to get out and explore, but not travel far, German Village is my go-to destination: It has character, history, fabulous dining and shopping, and a strong sense of identity.
I’m still amazed at the number of Ohioans that have never visited Hocking Hills and there’s no better time of year to visit than now! Spending a Fall weekend in the Hills is a budget-friendly vacation without having to leave the state! Hiking is one of the area’s main attractions and the following are my favorite places in Hocking Hills to take in the great outdoors.
This past Saturday, my lil’ family and I ventured East on 665 to take a lil’ day trip to Granville, the quaintest, cutest Ohio town! We wanted to visit primarily to check out their weekly Saturday morning Farmer’s Market + we also wanted our pups to be able to run around off leash for a bit on Denison’s campus.
Disclaimer: This post has a TON of pictures. I took sooo many photos while in Miami last month! I couldn’t help it. I’m going to try my best to keep the words to a minimum and let the photos speak for the post themselves:
So, three of my best girlfriends and I decided to venture south to Miami for a reunion (we all live in different cities) last month.
Kayaking on the Scioto River next to downtown Columbus has been, by far, one of my favorite things I’ve done this summer! We dropped our kayaks in the Scioto at the dock by North Bank Park.
The boys decided to fish while kayaking and my brother caught a huge catfish within the first five minutes of being on the water.
