The Jury Room is the oldest continually operating bar/restaurant in Columbus. I find this so unbelievably cool. Named “The Jury Room” since 1831. Re-vamped a couple of years ago under new ownership. Featured on the Travel Channel because it’s supposedly haunted. Open late (until 11pm during the week and 1am on Friday and Saturday). Affordable, delicious cocktail menu.
Flower Child is a vintage-lover’s dream. Nestled in the Short North. Plethora of clothes, accessories, housewares, and furniture from the 1930’s-1980’s. Many rooms – each decorated to a different theme/time period. Very organized (which I love). A lot of vendors. Price range to fit your budget. Great place to go for unique gifts.
SCHMIDT’S SAUSAGE HAUS
240 E KOSSUTH ST
Schmidt’s oozes with history. Featured on the Travel Channel and Food Network, the authentic German restaurant began as a food stand at the Ohio State Fair. My pictures show everything in the “Schmidt’s area” on Kossuth Street, but the restaurant is where IT’s at.
