Hi, friends… looking to make first day of school flags for a fun photo prop? Then, this post is definitely for you! Flags are sooo fun and festive and make for the most perfect first day of school photo prop.
First Day of School Flags
I kept seeing the sweetest first day flags on social media made with dowel rods but I decided to add a lil’ spin and change it up to use rulers! I made these for the girls with just a few simple supplies:
- Cardstock
- Printer (we’ve had this exact one for 3 years & it’s amaaazing)
- Rulers (these are the exact ones I used)
- Ribbons (I love getting fun ones from Hobby Lobby)
- Hot glue (This is an essential supply!)
- Cut out stars (I used these ones)
First, I printed the flags from Olive & Eve Co., cut them out and then hot glued the ruler on.
Next, I cut 3-4 different ribbons and tied them onto the ruler. Finally, I added a glittery star on top with more hot glue.
These flags were SO easy to make but oh so cute and special for the kids, too! I absolutely LOVE how they turned out – what do you think?! I’ve linked some other fun first day of school flags here.
