It must be all the pink associated with Valentine’s Day that just makes my heart sing with my girls this time of year! Also, I throughly enjoy that some of my favorite colors are everywhere to be found in Target in the midst of gloomy winter. Oh, the fact that the girly children’s books that surround this holiday are just the cutest things I’ve ever seen – perfect to pull out year after year. Yeah, I guess there’s a lot of things to love about Valentine’s Day 🙂 Anyways, here are our favorite books for this holiday!

Catch a Kiss: The fan favorite of this bunch, for sure! A memorable story about blowing and catching kisses from mama.
Llama Llama I Love You: One of our faves!
Flora the Flamingo: Okay, so this wordless picture book isn’t exactly a Valentine’s Day book but it’s a sweet, lovable story, with the most beautiful cover, nonetheless!
Love is a Tutu: For the ballerina types 🙂
The Pink Umbrella: A longer story – definitely for the older kiddos – with gorgeous illustrations and a stellar storyline.
The Night Before Valentine’s Day: To the tune of The Night Before Christmas, we love this one!
Where is Baby’s Valentine?: A life-the-flap style story, trying to find baby’s valentine 🙂
Bunny Roo, I Love You: The most precious story with animals.
Counting Kisses: We love this cute Karen Katz book. It’s a “kiss and read” book!
Emma: An simple emotions book. I love the illustrations and emotions depicted in this story for little toddlers!
