What Bath Products I Use with My Toddler

Before being pregnant with Ava, I’ll admit I was not aware of how many awful ingredients there are in personal care products. During my pregnancy with her, I read many books, articles, and blog posts about how the United States basically does not regulate the ingredients in our beauty and self-care products. What I found even more eye-opening is the fact that other countries DO regulate ingredients – and have banned thousands of them!beauty counter kidsWhen Jana Antil, an Ohioan and OSU grad (you can read her blog here!), reached out to introduce me to Beautycounter, I was instantly interested. Beautycounter is a brand that has banned more than 1,500 harmful (or even potentially harmful) ingredients from their products. They actually have a “Never List” you can refer to! And more than that: They are striving to make their products as luxurious and high-quality as your tried-and-true products that are out there.
beauty counter kidsBeautycounter offers SO many products for adults! Some of their Bestsellers include their Charcoal Bar, Charcoal Mask, Brightening Face Oil, Cleansing Balm (I’ve tried this and LOVED it), and the Countermatch Collection. But… as I seem to prioritize little miss A first these days, I went with ordering the Kidscounter Bath Collection from Jana, which includes their Shampoo, Conditioner, and Body Wash, as the reviews were stellar.
beauty counter kids productsPlus, the packaging is obviously adorable AND a definite conversation starter with my almost 2 year-old! She loves to ask for each of the colors during bath time! I love that the products work so well, with just a pump or two needed to get a good lather going! A bonus is that they smell luxurious and AMAZING, with a subtle fresh-berry scent. These products are formulated without parabens, synthetic fragrances, and harsh surfactants, which can be irritating and act as hormone-disrupting chemicals. I will order this set again!
