My To-Do List: 10 Columbus Restaurants

My To-Do List: 10 Columbus Restaurants :: girl about columbus

Contrary to what y’all think, I have not visited every single restaurant in Columbus 🙂 But, of course, I would love to. Given the time and a babysitter, I could easily hit up every single one of these babies on my “to-do” list in a matter of weeks. The fact that I have not been to highly-raved about/photographed Brassica or the healthy Grandview spot, Zest Juice Co. is just crazy. But, hey, I need to cut myself some slack – I mean, I’m not only coming out of hibernation but the baby-fog is slowly lifting as well. So, I will try all of these. Just give me some time 🙂

BRASSICA – Short North. Sandwiches/salads. I’d take a hummus plate with falafel and/or a vegetable salad. This place looks amaze-balls on Instagram.

ZEST JUICE CO. – Grandview. Juice/tonics/smoothies/bowls. I’d order a #GreenJuice and Dragon Fruit bowl.

SALT & PINE – Downtown. Lunch/dinner/brunch. Sign me up for dinner and although I’d have a hard time deciding, would likely order the Pan Roasted Rainbow Trout.

THE WHITNEY HOUSE – Worthington. Brunch/lunch/dinner/kids. I would go for brunch and get the Ohio Toast with a French Press coffee.

ZOE CAFE – Bexley. Serves breakfast/lunch/dinner. I would visit for breakfast and order the Cinnamon-Challah French Toast – yum.

DOUGH MAMA – Clintonville. Pies/pastries/breakfast. I’d go for a piece of pie.

G. MICHAEL’S – German Village. Seasonal, local food. Serves dinner. Give me the brussel sprouts app and the lasagna.

THE BARN AT ROCKY FORK CREEK – Gahanna/New Albany. Cameron Mitchell. Dinner and brunch. The Pecan Crusted Trout with brown butter with a side of mac n cheese sounds delicious.

THE AVENUE STEAK TAVERN – Grandview. New Cameron Mitchell spot. Steaks/seafood/tavern fare. The Filet or the White Cheddar Cheeseburger, please.

HAI POKE –Pop-ups around the city at Red Velvet Cafe, Denmark, and Oddfellows. Authentic island-inspired street food. Brick and mortar location coming soon. I’ll try what they’re known for – their Poké Bowl.

There are so many great restaurants in Columbus – it’s difficult to visit all of them (and not go broke, LOL!) but tell me… what places are on your “to-do”? As you know, I’m always looking to visit a new spot – and then take 10 iPhone pictures and Instagram/blog about it. 🙂

The Avenue’s salmon is amazing! Great list of places – I’m adding quite a few of these to my list to try!

I actually went to Salt & Pine last night and it was incredible! There were 3 of us and we shared the gnudi, pappardelle, and the burger (with rosemary aioli instead).

Love this list! With a 1-year old I often think “Man, I should have gone out to eat WAY more before the baby came!” because it’s so much harder to get out these days! Barcelona and G. Michaels have been on my list for a while. I got to try them both on the Columbus Food Adventures German Village tour yesterday and now I definitely want to get back for a full meal!

🤍 It's time to refresh our towels + bedding for the New Year! After heading to @meijerstores, I picked up fresh white towels, pretty patterned sheets + pillowcases, and a classic, crisp white quilt. 🥰 To keep everything tidy, I added in some woven baskets + wire bins. I layered in greenery 🌱 for natural elements as well as pretty + functional cleaners, a gorgeous candle, and a sign with personality! How do you keep your bath and bedroom linens organized? #Meijer #NewYear #Organization
Our January #bookshelfie 🤍 Clean, fresh, + simp Our January #bookshelfie 🤍 Clean, fresh, + simple. // I’ve been absent on social this week, actually really since the change of the New Year. This was intentional & planned before what happened this week. Just because I’ve been silent on here doesn’t mean I haven’t been speaking out in real life. I chose to listen on here, quite a lost art that I’m personally working on improving this year. 🤍 I’ll leave you with this: The other day, Ava and I were reading Parker Looks Up, one of the books we’re reading this month. 📖 She looked at me and said, “I love her skin Mommy. Isn’t it pretty?” Yes, my dear it is. ❤️

Fresh new holiday bedding! 🎄 #Ad Our bedroom ha Fresh new holiday bedding! 🎄 #Ad Our bedroom has honestly been last on the list since we moved over a year ago!  Since redoing this room, I've instantly felt more relaxed and more like it's ours. 🤍 We finally painted and refreshed our space and I'm thrilled with how it turned out! First, we painted the yellow walls white for a bright + clean look. Next, I layered in the comforter, candy cane sheets, pillows, faux greenery as well as the candle and decor from @meijerstores to add some cozy  + festive elements. ✨ Finally, I added twinkle lights for some more holiday flair! #Meijer #HappyHolidays #Bedroom
