It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Take advantage of the season and experience these can’t-miss holiday happenings in Columbus!
1.) Go tree shopping! Check out choose & cut Christmas tree farms like Mr. Tree Farm in Blacklick, Timbuk Farms in Granville, or Cackler Farms in Delaware.
2.) Enjoy Grand Illumination at the Scioto Mile beginning Friday, December 4. The lights are just gorgeous by the riverfront with the Leveque Tower lit up in red and green in the background.
3.) Experience a world of magic in German Village at the Annual Village Lights on Sunday, December 6 from 5-9PM.
4.) Take in the Columbus Common’s Holiday Lights through January 4, from dusk until to 11pm. See more than 200,000 LED lights dazzle in the park, thanks to AEP. Continue your trek by viewing the Lazarus Building windows, featuring original displays from the City Center Mall.
5.) Peruse the Short North Holiday Hop on Saturday, December 5 from 4-10PM. A celebration of the arts, with drinks and the holiday spirit in the Short North.
6.) Shop ’til you drop and then take a carriage ride around Easton Town Center while gawking at their absolutely beautiful Christmas tree!
7.) It doesn’t get much better than the Columbus Zoo’s Wildlights display, running through January 3!
8.) Take in the 11th Annual Holiday Tour of Homes presented by the Junior League of Columbus on Saturday, December 5 from 10AM – 5PM. This year, the tour features homes in Grandview Heights and Marble Cliff!
9.) See The Nutcracker presented by BalletMet at the Ohio and Capitol Theatres, with shows running December 11 – 27.
10.) Experience the Holiday Fantasy of Lights at Alum Creek State Park in Delaware through January 3, a 1.5 mile drive featuring over 1 million lights and 100 displays. Stop at the boathouse at the end of the tour to visit Santa and to score free cookies and hot chocolate!

I love all of the lights! Super excited for Village Lights this weekend 🙂
Great list! We’ve never seen the lights at the Scioto Mile–will have to check that out this year.
We are lucky to live in such a fun city that it makes it hard to decide my favorite. I’m looking forward to the tree lighting ceremonies and some of the events with Santa this weekend.
