I feel like I say this every month… but June really has flown by! My blog posts have been none to minimal + while I honestly have enjoyed a bit of an inspirational break, I look for that to improve in July! June has just been so busy – traveling, spending more time with family + friends, and trying to enjoy the great outdoors whenever possible (and wishfully, sans rain) have all been high on the priority list! I hope your summer is off to a great start! Here’s a bit of what I’ve been up to…
^ Gorgeous rhododendrons that I had a hard time saying no to at the garden center…
^ Just a gorgeous day in Goodale Park.
^ So excited to be at the Columbus Commons to see The Conspiracy Band play with my best friend! I can’t wait to see them play at her wedding!
^ Picked up these delicious berries at the Canal Winchester Farmer’s Market… so ready for some more!
^ My brother-in-law gave us gorgeous Peonies from Red Twig Farms in New Albany!
^ Obligatory “from where I stand” photo with the OHIO emblem.
^ Met my family at the Deer Creek State Park Lodge for my Mom’s Birthday! This place is so pretty.
^ Golden Hour is German Village is a must-see. Everything is that much prettier!
^ Finally made it to the highly raved about 101 Beer Kitchen in Dublin and it didn’t disappoint! When in Dublin, you should try this place out!
^ Nic + I visited the secret Hayden Run Falls in Dublin while running errands one weekend… I thought it was so pretty so I shared a post about the falls here.
^ I LOVE Painted Post on Etsy! She offers THE cutest Ohio prints, ever! Enter GAC25 at checkout for 25% off your order!
^ Yours truly, in all my glory, in Charleston, South Carolina. So happy to be on vacation! (dress is a steal from Target).
^ Nic + I woke up early enough to catch the sunrise one morning on Folly Beach and it was well worth it! It was a hot, humid, beautiful morning.
^ Enjoying the most delicious protein smoothie at The Daily in Charleston! A definite must-stop when you’re in the Holy City! p.s. I had a lot of questions about where I got my dress – it’s from Asos but I got it last year… however, you can find lot of similar dresses here, here, here and here.
^ I’m so in love with this white house + blue door! Such a gorgeous beauty on Charleston’s Battery. Ready to move in, like yesterday.
^ On our last full day in Charleston, we headed over to Sullivan’s Island for some different beach scenery. Sullivan’s is always such a good time.
^ I loved this pink crepe myrtle against this pink house. I shared this photo on Instagram the morning after the terrible Charleston tragedy… our hotel was a mere 3 blocks from the church + going to dinner that night, we actually found ourselves in the block of the crime and a directing cop that had just arrived on the scene said, “Go, go, go! Get out of here – we have an active shooter!” .. This was just 5 minutes after the shooting happened that killed 9 innocent people, worshipping in their church. Needless to say, I didn’t sleep much that night with the suspect at large. I’m so glad they caught him the next morning + I know that Charleston will only be stronger because of this careless, senseless act.
^ Nic + I headed out of Charleston + ventured to Asheville, North Carolina to stay for the night, explore the cute mountain town, and break up our drive. Here, I’m wearing the most comfortable dress I own (from Loft) and my Honey Rose & K tassel necklace!
^ Back in Columbus, Candice + I braved the monsoon to check out the Grove City Art and Wine Festival and was so impressed with the design and quality of this onesie by Mags and Lou.
^ I shared this photo from my wedding day on Facebook + Instagram on Father’s Day! My Dad always knows how to make me smile + I love him dearly.
^ The coolest sunset.
^ A collage of some of my very favorite photos I took in Charleston as shown in this post.
^ A Throwback Thursday, one week later, after our stay at Asheville’s The Omni Grove Park Inn. SUCH a beautiful, historic hotel.
^ So happy to finally have a blue skies, no rain day!
^ And trying to think positively… at least the hydrangeas are happy about all of this rain!
