A glimpse into my September via Instagram…
There were sooo many beautiful, rain-free days in the ‘Bus this month and I couldn’t help but ask my husband to pull over for me to capture this shot of downtown with my iPhone – the sky looked unreal this day:
I had fun meeting the bloggers behind local blogs like EastonTrendE, House of Phrase, Easton FoodE, & I Wanna Be Mary Kate and catching up with Mrs. Ladylike and A Few of My Favorite Things over Happy Hour at Cooper’s Hawk at Easton to discuss Easton Fashion Night!
Loving this Thursday night situation… Hydrangeas, Capital Style magazine + trying out the new Crabbie’s flavor, now available in Columbus.
I LOVE Cimi’s Bistro at The Pinnacle in Grove City – the food is delicious and the atmosphere is like none other in Columbus. I could rave about it for days and I feel selfish keeping this special place to myself so I have to share with you all… it is a hidden gem! I spent my birthday here with my family and was so happy:
After lunch for my birthday, Nic and I headed to campus to get into Buckeye spirit!
I visited the Jackson Apple Festival in Jackson, Ohio for the first time this month to walk in the parade + support my father, who is running for the Ohio State School Board, on the ballot this November for 17 counties – check out his Facebook page if you’d like 🙂 Oh and yes, we had one of these lovely, beautiful apples!
Oh yes…. the Jason Aldean + Florida Georgia Line concert at Crew Stadium was awesome!!! The stadium was packed and it was hard to believe that our ticket price included both of these great acts because Florida Georgia Line could totally headline their own show! This is crazy but I had never tailgated there before and I LOVED it!!! Best place to see a big-name concert!
Oh + my absolute FAVORITE place to see a concert in Columbus is the outdoor LC Pavilion!!! This shot was taken before the Lorde concert at the LC, before Nic and I grabbed dinner at Bakersfield in the Short North (get the Mole tacos and chips/guacamole). Lorde was ridiculous and I literally have downloaded every single one of her songs since the concert – she is an entertainer with some stellar pipes. She said and I quote her, “How have I not been here before? This is so awesome!” She loved Columbus and the energy was unreal at her show! I highly recommend seeing her even if you just know “Royals.” p.s. the scarf I’m wearing has been on serious rotation from purchasing it from Target for only $16.99!
The picture below was taken on Nic & I’s 2 year wedding anniversary, before heading out for dinner – the best part? I found out my niece was born a few minutes before! Flats are from Meijer and the rug is from one of my favorite online home decor shops, Lulu & Georgia (they have sooo many cute rugs).
Mikey’s Late Night Slice ALWAYS hits the spot, especially after a night out:
Mums for days at Lowe’s… I definitely broke down and bought 4 different colors a week after I took this picture… I am a sucker for flowers and color and they are just too pretty!!!
Speaking of pretty + color, this shot was taken in my neighborhood! Beautiful landscaping – that I hope to emulate some day!
My BFF gave me the best lil’ housewarming gift from Grandview’s Objects for the Home – these vases have a permanent place on my dining room table! Thank you Katy!
Nic + I were super excited to start decorating for Fall, so we visited Renick’s Family Market, like we did last year (which now may become a yearly tradition) to buy a few pumpkins for our front porch!
I was smiling for days after going shopping with my momma for some things for our house – I posted this picture on Insta and asked you all for some good suggestions of “hidden gems” for antiquing/unique home decor items in Columbus and you gave me some great suggestions that I’m going to look into! I think The Boomerang Room in Clintonville fits the bill for unique Mid-Century items:
Although I’m reeeally looking forward to October, September has always been my favorite month with so many celebrations, beautiful weather, and the start of Fall.
Thanks for following along!
