My Fall To-Do List

fall-to-do-list-ohio-2014

Happy first day of Fall!!!

There are so many things I like to do during fall so it helps me to make a “to-do” list. Here we go:

1.) Visit a pumpkin patch – my favorite is Renick’s, just south of Columbus.

2.) Pick apples at Lynd’s Fruit Farm, CherryHawk Farm, or Legend Hills Orchard.

3.) Watch classic scary movies.

4.) Find a costume and throw a Halloween party.

5.) Make homemade applesauce, pumpkin pancakes, and pumpkin cookies.

6.) Hike in Hocking Hills – such a great weekend getaway from Columbus!

7.) Take a ton of photos of fall color, naturally.

8.) Hop on 23 South to Circleville for the Annual Pumpkin Show, October 15-18.

9.) Try Cameron Mitchell’s newest restaurant, The Barn at Rocky Creek in Gahanna.

10.) Bundle up in soft + cozy knits, jackets, and scarves.

11.) Plant mums and learn how to care for them.

12.) Sip on some hot chocolate or Sam Adams Octoberfest cozied up with a good book.

What’s on your list?

Mmmm…this is a great season to be in Columbus! We just got back from Hocking Hills and I’m hoping to squeeze in another weekend getaway when the colors turn. Lynd’s is always on our list, but we’re also hoping to go to Michigan (where my hubby grew up) and visit a cider mill there. Other than that, I think hosting an epic OSU vs. MI party and eating s’mores in the coziest sweatshirt I have about rounds it up! 🙂

🤍 It's time to refresh our towels + bedding for the New Year! After heading to @meijerstores, I picked up fresh white towels, pretty patterned sheets + pillowcases, and a classic, crisp white quilt. 🥰 To keep everything tidy, I added in some woven baskets + wire bins. I layered in greenery 🌱 for natural elements as well as pretty + functional cleaners, a gorgeous candle, and a sign with personality! How do you keep your bath and bedroom linens organized? #Meijer #NewYear #Organization
Our January #bookshelfie 🤍 Clean, fresh, + simp Our January #bookshelfie 🤍 Clean, fresh, + simple. // I’ve been absent on social this week, actually really since the change of the New Year. This was intentional & planned before what happened this week. Just because I’ve been silent on here doesn’t mean I haven’t been speaking out in real life. I chose to listen on here, quite a lost art that I’m personally working on improving this year. 🤍 I’ll leave you with this: The other day, Ava and I were reading Parker Looks Up, one of the books we’re reading this month. 📖 She looked at me and said, “I love her skin Mommy. Isn’t it pretty?” Yes, my dear it is. ❤️

Tinsel has replaced our ornaments! Are you guys all packed away for the holiday? After NYE I plan to organize, clean, + declutter! 🤍 #nye #2021 #goodbye2020

Fresh new holiday bedding! 🎄 #Ad Our bedroom ha Fresh new holiday bedding! 🎄 #Ad Our bedroom has honestly been last on the list since we moved over a year ago!  Since redoing this room, I've instantly felt more relaxed and more like it's ours. 🤍 We finally painted and refreshed our space and I'm thrilled with how it turned out! First, we painted the yellow walls white for a bright + clean look. Next, I layered in the comforter, candy cane sheets, pillows, faux greenery as well as the candle and decor from @meijerstores to add some cozy  + festive elements. ✨ Finally, I added twinkle lights for some more holiday flair! #Meijer #HappyHolidays #Bedroom
