This weekend I had a great time hanging out with the people that know me + still love me anyway… Mom & Dad. It was fun cruising around southern Ohio with them, checking out our old house, which now has new siding/less trees/huge trees in backyard that we planted ~20 yrs ago. We also drove down to Bainbridge, Ohio to visit a very cool antique store, The Trading Post Antiques. You never know you will find which is fun. I’m also finding that on the brink of beginning to furnish my new home, I am drawn to so many mid-century pieces, like the table that I found above. I think it’s the clean lines that draw me in, as it does with that super pretty shelf from TJ Maxx that I had to get a shot of later in the weekend. Mom, Dad, and I ventured further into Highland County to visit the southern Ohio Amish Country… I found the prettiest & most colorful outdoor chairs. I don’t know a lot about good wood craftsmanship, but I’m telling you these things were gorgeous & looked like they could last forever. Sunday morning was filled with a fun photo shoot with Lauren & Christina in collaboration with Student Book Exchange, on Ohio State’s campus. I’m so excited to share what we are working on later this week on GAC! Saks is having their 60% designer sale right now… which is the best time to splurge on a timeless piece that you’ll have forever. I loved this striped Joie top for the 4th of July, this striped Joie tank, this Ella Moss romper, and this Splendid maxi dress. Too bad they weren’t all on sale… still fun trying on at Saks at Polaris. 🙂 Oh & I’m so happy to say hydrangeas, impatiens + a bird bath now grace my front yard. Successful weekend. Bring it on, Monday.
