I wanted to share the awesome 2nd Annual Race to Heal 5K Walk/Run with you all today, put on by The Ohio State College of Nursing student group NSPIRE (Nursing Students Promoting Initiatives to Reinforce Equality).
The race is this coming Saturday, April 12 at 7:30 PM at the Fred Beekman Park on Ohio State’s campus. Yes, that’s PM – it’s a glow-in-the-dark night race! How fun 🙂
Walkers, children in strollers or wagons, and pets are strongly encouraged to take part in the 5K.
This event’s goal is to raise funds and awareness in support of the NSPIRE mission – The mission of NSPIRE is to raise public awareness and provide education about healthcare inequities and disparities in the underserved populations while providing valuable educational experiences to nursing students at The Ohio State University through outreach and social service.
The race benefits the OSU Total Health and Wellness clinic at OSU Hospital East where Family nurse practitioners (FNPs), Psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners, Pharmacists, Dietitians, Social workers are all included in the interdisciplinary care of under-served populations in Columbus, Ohio.
You can REGISTER FOR THE RACE HERE and can check out their Facebook page here.
