I was so excited to try Houlihan’s in Upper Arlington because I had never been but had noticed this cute restaurant beside Market District many times.
My husband and I sat at a table in the bar area, which is super fun! We started off with drinks — I had the Blackberry Basil ‘Rita (Sauza Hornito’s Plata Tequila + blackberry preserves + basil + cranberry juice + Solerno Premium Blood Orange Liqueur) and Nic had the 1800 Grand Margarita (1800 Reposado Tequila + Grand Marnier + fresh sweet & sour). Both absolutely delicious (and mine was super pretty… a plus 🙂 ).
Next, we moved on to choosing our lunch entrees – which was honestly kinda difficult because they have so many great options – apps, soups, salads, burgers, etc. I decided on the Organic Power Greens Salad with Grilled Chicken (almonds + blueberries + blackberries + strawberries + goat cheese + poppyseed dressing + grilled chicken + organic baby kale-spinach-chard blend). Ridiculously healthy + amazing taste with the goat cheese + poppyseed dressing on the grilled chicken.
I also had a cup of Roasted Tomato Bisque soup (with grilled cheese fritters). Those fritters were outta-this-world-good. Nic and I split them and could have had about 10 more. Nic chose the So Cal Fish Tacos (chipotle mayo + panko-breaded tilapia + napa cabbage + honey cumin dressing + chips & house salsa). Two thumbs up.
I really don’t know how we had room for more food because their portions are perfectly satisfying… but we wanted more delish food so we ordered coffee + a brownie sundae (yesss, I knowww). The brownie could have seriously fed 4 or more ppl so we only could finish 1/2. So worth it though.
Also… I have to share that Houlihan’s has a new, for-a-limited-time, lighter fare menu that looks amazing! It features entrees, desserts, and cocktails– all for less than 590 cals!
