So, when ávitāe contacted me re: writing a review on caffeinated water, I honestly was a bit hesitant. I mean, I thought, what does this have to do with Columbus? Howevvver, I had been seeing the ávitāe displays in the Upper Arlington Whole Foods and was excited to give it a try. I agreed.
When I received my samples, my first thought: Awesome, eye-catching packaging. Cool bottles. Next, I realized there are two versions. The yellow bottle has 45 mg of caffeine, which is comparable to a diet pop. The red bottle has 90 mg of caffeine, similar to a cup of coffee. I like to have options.
Okay, on to the taste test. Ever have purified water? Yep, that’s exactly what it tastes like. No additives. No hidden flavoring. Nope. Just some good ol’ fashioned water. Yummy, as water is my #1 drink of choice. I’m not a fan of pop. Coffee is delish in the morning, but during the week, I can’t prep a pot mid-day… However, I still may need a pick-me-up and ávitāe is perfect for a little boost on the go. Oh, and I need to mention that ávitāe’s caffeine is natural, derived from coffee beans. Not fake, synthetic caffeine (pop). Zero cals, natural, and energy-boosting. Mmhmm, I’m a fan. Give it a try and let me know what you think. Some things just make sense.
ávitāe is available in Ohio at select Speedway, Giant Eagle, World Market, Whole Foods, and Walgreens stores.
