FRANK FETCH PARK
228 EAST BECK STREET
Having heard about Frank Fetch Park through the grapevine, I was so excited to stumble upon it during one of my walks through German Village with my dog. The park’s entrance along Beck Street is so secluded and private and it felt like I was going back in time when I walked through the brick wall gate. As you’ll see in my pictures, they were getting ready to put in a lot of flowers, bushes, trees, and mulch. Now for a bit of history: I initially heard “Fetch” and assumed it was a dog park… and of course, a lot of dog owners in German Village do take their pooch here but “Fetch” actually refers to Frank Fetch aka “the father of German Village.” Designed to resemble a 19th century bier garten. Park since 1966. Frank Fetch Park since 1985. .2 acre. You may even run into some local celebs here. It’s that cool.
